Mitochondrial hijack by pathogen

Image
Mitochondrial hijack by pathogen This is clinical research on pathogen and their infection to host. Mitochondria Mitochondria are known as energy suppliers for our cells, but they also play an important role in the defense against pathogens.  They can initiate immune responses, and deprive pathogens of the nutrients they need to grow. Now.pathogens can turn off mitochondrial defense mechanisms by hijacking a normal cellular response to stress. Research ->Scientists infected cells with the human parasite Toxoplasma gondii and observed live under the microscope. [ What is Toxoplasma gondii:-            Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular parasitic protozoan that causes toxoplasmosis. symptoms ''there was little evidence that T. gondii was related to increased risk of psychiatric disorder, poor impulse control, personality aberrations or neurocognitive impairment."  T. gondii is capable of infecting virtually all warm-blood...

Bio-Chip

Biochip  Description :  Bio-chip is a new micro-analysis technique. It has been rapidly developped because of its characteristics such as accurate, rapid and large amount of information. A biochip is a device that has some of the features of a computer chip but, instead of doing calculations, it uses living cells(or molecules from living cells) to greatly speed up certain laboratory tests.A typical biochip is a glass or plastic chip or tile a few inches on a side. It has hundreds or even tens of thousands of microscope droplets of material stuck to its surface like gum on a sidewalk. A computer looks at the chip using a camera. Information from a biochip can be used to learn about differences between genes, cells or drugs. It can also be used to study many other questions about cells. Biochips are also called microarrays, where micro means  smal  and an array is any regular grid, such as a chessboard. The droplets on a biochip are laid down in a checkerboa...
